What is IAWP? IAWP is a nonprofit educational association representing 17,000 professionals worldwide who work in public and private workforce development programs  

What is the goal and purpose of IAWP? IAWP is dedicated to advancing the field of workforce development through education, research, legislative action, financial support, international networking, and useful publications.

Why should I join NCAWP? There are many benefits to joining the NCAWP. The benefits include:

1. Getting to meet knew people. This is way for you to meet new people throughout the ESC

2. Everyone is looking to advance their careers in the agency. This is a good way to meet managers and supervisors in different locations.

3. The ESC receives most of our money from the Federal Government and the only lobby that we have in Washington D.C. is IAWP. What this means is that we need IAWP to lobby for us because SEANC is our paid lobby in Raleigh, N.C. and if Congress gets rid of our funding, then SEANC would probably be of little help to us.

4. There is a lot to learn from attending workshops.

5. You can get out of the office for a day or two. It'll still be work related, but sometimes it's just good to get out of the office
